We’re a third-generation family business that started in 1958 as Lynn’s TV & Stereo, right here in our local Logan, Utah community. 

The secret to our longevity? Every project is personal, and every client is treated like a friend. The Hancey family puts their name (and their heart) on every project we take on.

From the Beginning: Built on Family Values

Our story begins with Lynn Hancey, who saw the future of home entertainment before most people even had color TV. He founded Lynn’s TV & Stereo with a simple goal: deliver top-tier technology with a neighborly handshake. Fast forward to today, and that vision is alive in every corner of our business.

Following in their father’s footsteps, Bret and Bart Hancey began their AV journey at the age of 10, working side by side with their dad and each other. That early hands-on experience taught them everything about electronics and, more importantly, about people.

Bret decided to purchase the business in the early 2000’s and  served as our dedicated CEO for over 20 years, growing the company into what it is today. Bart decided to step away from the electronics business and started his own successful business in cache valley tinting windows. His business is Arizona Tint. Bret’s recent passing in September 2025 has brought tremendous sadness to our family and community, and he is deeply missed by his industry peers and colleagues.  

Their legacy lives on: this company is still incredibly tight-knit and family-run. Bret’s children Jeremy Hancey, Terry Hancey, Travis Hancey, and Bart’s son Jason Hancey and the rest of the Lynn’s team now carry the torch, building meaningful connections with our customers just like Lynn and Bret and Bart did.
